Don't be that swimmer that forgets their undies.

Again.

Whether you're heading to squad training, a solo lap session, or a weekend ocean dip, these are the swim bag staples you don’t want to forget. Not sure what you’re forgetting? We made a list for you!

The Must-Haves:

  • Goggles: Non-negotiable. Bonus points for a backup pair that hasn’t been living at the bottom of your bag since 2022. Our favourites are the FINIS Tide Goggles.
  • Towel: Preferably dry. Preferably not the size of a tea towel.
  • TRISWIM Swim Cap: Your lane partner will thank you. Your hair will too.
  • TRISWIM Shampoo, Conditioner & Body Wash: Because you didn’t train this hard to smell like chlorine all day.
  • Water Bottle: Hydrate or shrivel up. Either way, you need it.
  • Post-swim snack: Banana. Protein ball. Entire packet of Shapes. No judgement.

The “You’ll Miss Me When I’m Gone” Items:

  • Comb or Hairbrush: Why is this the one thing we always forget?! Every. Single. Time.
  • Sliders or thongs (the feet kind): Wet change rooms + bare feet = regrettable life choices.
  • TRISWIM Lotion: For when your skin screams “help” post-chlorine.
  • Foggies Anti-fog Wipes: Or spit. But let’s keep it classy and use something that actually works.
  • Spare undies: Because soggy swimmers under jeans = rough times.

Honourable Mentions for the Extra-Prepared:

  • Nose clip: No judgement. If it helps, pack it.
  • Ear plugs: Especially if you're still haunted by last week’s surprise water-in-ear incident.
  • Bag with a compartment for wet gear: Or risk baptising everything in your tote. We love the JAYD Swimwear Backpack for this feature.
  • Extra hair tie: Because the only thing worse than your hair getting in your face or under your arm while swimming is trying to wrestle with the knotty aftermath.
  • A good playlist: For hyping yourself up, tuning out noise, or pretending you’re in a training montage.
